Home to 10,000 students, researchers and artists every year, over 140 nationalities, 40 houses and a host of services, the Cité Internationale offers a unique setting backed by a remarkable organisation.
The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris is unique among French universities and institutions. It is run by a private body, the Fondation Nationale, and is listed as a public-interest organisation. It manages on-site services and 18 residences. The other 22 houses each represent a country or Grande Ecole and have their own legal status.

A HUB FOR ARTS AND CULTURE
Every year, the Cité Internationale hosts 1,000 events in arts and culture, organised by houses, residents and specialist services.
Culture is a cornerstone of life at the Cité Internationale. In addition to its theatre, the campus is also home to an orchestra, choir and heritage centre. It offers a range of services for those researching information either as a hobby or for the purposes of work or studies.

SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES
Covering everything from seminars and forums to award ceremonies, board meetings and receptions, the Seminars and Conferences service is on hand to provide help and advice to organise your events in beautiful surroundings.
The Cité Internationale offers an outstanding setting, providing event organisers with a complete raft of services including venue rental, catering, technical installations and staffing.

"SUR LES TRACES D'UN BÂTISSEUR"
L'exposition sur André HONNORAT installée dans le 6e arrondissement

Du 25 juin au 8 juillet 2010, l’exposition itinérante André HONNORAT, sur les traces d’un bâtisseur, fera étape à la mairie du 6e arrondissement de Paris. Non loin de la place André HONNORAT, cette exposition retrace l’ascension d’un autodidacte père de l’heure d’été, et initiateur du projet d’inhumation du soldat inconnu sous l’Arc de Triomphe...mais dont la plus grande œuvre demeure sans contexte la création de la Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, avec ses quelque 10.000 étudiants, chercheurs et artistes de 140 nationalités.
Pour concevoir cette exposition, la Cité internationale universitaire de Paris a exhumé ses archives et fait appel à Guillaume TRONCHET, agrégé d’histoire, allocataire-moniteur à l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Centre d’histoire sociale du XXe siècle. Composée de huit modules, alternant images et textes, cette exposition invite le visiteur à s’interroger sur le modèle que constitue la Cité internationale, à l’heure où la préservation de la paix et la mondialisation de l’enseignement se posent avec acuité.
Après cette étape à la mairie du 6e, l’exposition rejoindra la Cité internationale universitaire de Paris où elle sera présentée à la Fondation Suisse du 10 au 28 juillet, à la Fondation Argentine du 16 au 27 septembre, et à la Maison des Provinces de France du 28 septembre au 17 décembre 2010.
